Reviews of our Tuscany Villas & Apartments...
Tuscany Villa il Colto Oct-09 Australia Family Group Mike T. This villa was a real treat. It really is very diffficult to think of anything that could be done to make it any better. It is owned by two sisters, (one, Elena, who lives in the adjacent converted barn) who were a pleasure to deal with. The other, Laura, came in with her cousin Sergio and cooked us a marvellous dinner one night, involving our two young children in the whole experience. I would highly recommend having Laura and Sergio in at least once to treat you to a home cooked meal. What a luxury...the villa itself is very beautiful. A lovely large structure and it would very easily cope with two families or 10 to 12 people, with 6 bedrooms and separate living areas and places to relax, both inside and outdoors. The outside eating area was wonderful , the pool in a delightful position . Quite a few mosquitoes when we were there but i am sure it is a seasonal thing. Anyway, just slap on the repellent. A vegie garden to simply pluck lettuces and tomatoes etc to make a salad with. Local wines are stocked in the kitchen which was a lovely touch. With only two children (9 and 10), my wife and my mother, we had almost too much room! We planned daily drives out from the villa into the neighbouring contryside. Sienna, San Gimignano, Arezzo, all within reasonable striking distance. We'd come from Florence so did not head back there but it is also within easy distance. So too Greve-in-Chianti and Rada-in-Chianti etc. We did not see a great deal of the town itself which is about 500 metres down the hill from the Villa, as there was a festival running for our first four days, but it has everything you would need and looked very pleasant. In summary, you could not go wrong choosing this villa. Returning to life and work in Melbourne has not been easy! We loved Villa il Colto and I am sure the kids will never forget their week there in the lap of luxury. Mike, Melbourne, Australia
Tuscany Farmhouse Mulinello Jul-09 USA Family Group Anne Marie P. We arrived in the evening and unfortunately got lost. The owner Michele and his wife were so kind to wait and even came to meet us and help us find our way to the farmhouse. I reccommend arriving in the daylight, as it's a little challenging at night. The farmhouse is lovely and the views were splendid! The owners were very kind and welcoming, I highly reccommend staying here. We ate dinner most nights on the terrace at our wonderful little farmhouse, but if you want to eat out the food and service at Le Machine just down the road was amazing and affordable. This is a great centrally located place to stay as a homebase for day trips all around Tuscany and Florence. Enjoy your stay, wish I was still there! AnnMarie Petrillo & Dean Miloslavich, Summer 2009
Tuscany Apartment Salvia Aug-09 Australia Young Couple Sara M. We absolutely loved Apartment Salvia at Antica Casale - although getting there was a bit of a challenge as the roads are very narrow, and not well sign-posted (ask for detailed directions before you try and find the place on your own). The view from the apartment across the valley was absolutely gorgeous though and we wouldn't have changed it for the world! The apartment was spacious, clean and reasonably well equipped - the only things we would of added would be more mosquito nets and another couch to lounge on in the evenings. We were two couples and there was only one couch and two hard-back (dining room type) chairs. The garden was beautiful and the pool (which is perched on the side of the hill) was large, really clean, surrounded by sun lounges and with a fantastic view. Overall we thorougly enjoed our stay and would highly recommend it to others!
Tuscany Villa il Colto Jan-09 Mixed Group Australia Lewin Family Villa il Colle was absolutely perfect in every way, our family of 12, 8 adults and 4 young people between 13 and 16 had one of the most wonderful holidays we could have asked for. The many living areas meant that 12 people could spread out and enjoy private space and the teenagers were happy to be able to use the computer room upstairs with fast internet connection while we enjoyed the chefs kitchen and had many big chill moments cooking in the evenings. The bedrooms were all luxuriously appointed and cosy and we enjoyed the big open fire every night. Having the owner next door was also a plus and the abundance of quality wine to choose from in the pantry was a great touch. When the owner asked us at check out if we had any suggestions, we couldn’t think of even one thing that could improve the villa. Highly recommended, we will be back.
Tuscany Rocca di Castognoli Oct-07 NZ Edgar T. Attractive small Chianti village, units well equipped. Can recommend this place for a quiet stay in a beautiful part of Italy.
Tuscany Borgo della Meliana Jun-07 USA Jerry E. It was a dream come true! The villa is perfectly situated and the accomodations met more than our expectations. Thanks for the wonderful laundry room and Paola in particular.
Borgo Corsignano Sep-07 Australia Sandra H. This property is beautiful,we were so delighted when we arrived to see such a wonderful place. The staff were so helpful and upgraded us even thought the Scula Su we booked was everything we thought it would be.They asked us if we wanted a bigger villa for the same price and of course we took it. I havent stopped raving about the views, the pool and the whole place. I have given the web page to people in USA. UK as well as Australia. For anyone who wants to be an hour out of Florence or just relaxing in Tuscany I can not talk highly enough than to recommend BORGO CORSIGNANO its the BEST!
Tuscany Rocca di Castognoli May-07 USA Frances B. "We stayed in the apartment 'Le Cesira' in mid-May. The apartment is adorable - very rustic - rough stone exterior - thick walls with deep window sills - white embroidered linen panels in the small casement windowns - red tile ceilings with rough wooden beams - red tile floors - white stucco walls. Cozy, cute, and romantic. Two bedrooms - one with a fireplace - and two bathrooms - one with a huge bathtub - the other with a shower, a small livingroom and a wonderful kitchen with an old wooden table and 4 chairs. We loved this apartment and the surounding Tuscan countryside. We hope to return some day."
Tuscany Rocca di Castognoli Jun-07 Australia Rose C We were very happy with the accommodation. The apartment was clean, well laid out and with beautiful views. Beautiful panorama. You definitely will need a car to get around.
